The Lord of The Ring The Two Towers is book two of J.R.R Tolkiens epic "The Lord of The Rings"
Boromir dies trying to protect Merry and Pippin in the battle with Orcs. They are captured by the Orcs who have
been ordered by Saruman to bring the Hobbits alive to Isengard. Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli track them, across the
land of Rohan. Merry and Pippin escape into the forest of Fangorn during a battle between the Orcs and The Riders
of Rohan. There they meet Treebeard, an ancient tree-like giant called an Ent.
At Helm's Deep they fight a great battle and overcome Saruman's army. They reach Saruman's stronghold, finding it
destroyed by Ents, Merry and Pippin are safe. They release Saruman, Gandalf having broken his staff of power.
Meanwhile, Frodo and Sam journey to Mordor. Gollum follows, drawn by the ring. They capture him and he agrees to
guide them to Mordor. They meet Faramir, Boromir's younger brother. Gollum leads them to a secret passage into
Mordor, guarded by Shelob, a huge spider, who poisons Frodo. Sam decides to take the ring and finish the quest, but
overhears Orcs saying that Frodo is not dead, only stunned.
